Star Wars 7 : Harrison Ford airlifted to hospital in Oxford after accident By FIN Staff / 12 June 2014 Harrison Ford has been injured on the set of Star Wars 7 at Pinewood Studios, and has been airlifted to John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford according to several reports. A hydraulic door fell on the actor who was then airlifted from the set with an ankle fracture. It is not clear if the actor has sustained any other significant injuries following the accident, but due to the nature of the incident, he was sent to an NHS trauma unit for testing and close observation. The incident occurred on Wednesday and comes at a time when the film industry is scrutinising on-set safety following the recent death of Sarah Jones, and a near miss accident that occurred in the UK, where an actress was almost knocked-over by an uncontrolled stunt prop. Harrison Ford, aged 71, is not thought to be in a serious condition and the film is currently shooting while the actor recovers from the injury. More updates to follow...
