The next action packed adventure for the Fast & Furious crew is upon us in ‘Hobbs & Shaw’, a spinoff film of the franchise that is set 2 years after ‘The Fate of the Furious’.

Fans of the Fast & Furious franchise gave the new trailer a resounding thumbs up, boosting its viewership on Youtube to over 24 million views alone since yesterday (1 million plays an hour on average).

With the help of Dwayne Johnson’s big social media following to give the trailer a boost, audience interest for the film is resoundingly high.

In ‘Hobbs and Shaw’, Federal agent Luke Hobbs (played by Dwayne Johnson) along with Deckard Shaw (Jason Statham), a military trained ex-SAS turned mercenary, teams up to stop an international terrorist codenamed ‘Brixton’.

Featuring some stunning scenes with The Rock hanging off the edge of a skyscraper in London (and with the famous Shard in the background), the first glimpse of the film certainly guarantees us a large dose of adrenaline and epic stunts. (The production was filmed in London, Glasgow and Yorkshire.)

Idris Elba plays Brixton, the criminal mastermind while Helen Mirren plays the mother of Deckard. Wrestler Roman Reigns also stars in the film as Luke’s brother, Duke Hobbs. The new spinoff will be released later this year on August 2nd.
