Gerard Depardieu's latest film 'Viktor' has been pulled from cinemas in the US after it grossed a pathetic $623.
According to a report in Le Figaro, only 77 people went to see the film nationally, making it the worst flop of his career.
'Viktor', directed by Philippe Martinez and starring Depardieu alongside Elizabeth Hurley was released October 24th with almost zero press coverage. In fact, considering that Depardieu has some good friends in the states, it is possible that only those who know him personally, made the effort to see the movie at theaters.
Synopsis : "After spending seven years in jail for an art heist, Frenchman Victor Lambert returns to Moscow to uncover the circumstances behind his son Jeremy's brutal murder."
On Rotten Tomatoes, the film garnered an apocalyptic 0% based on 6 reviews. Over on IMDB, the film, was given a solid 4.4/10 from 64 reviews, which makes up the bulk of the audience that saw this film.
To make matters worse, it would appear that the film's distributor didn't even bother uploading a picture to the account or any promotional pictures on either website. Was this film destined to fail?
