Fact Not Fiction Films has confirmed that their short film “Missing a Note” will have a US theatrical release from September 13th 2019 at Landmark’s Nuart Theatre in Los Angeles. This will coincide with a limited theatrical release in the UK with Everyman Cinemas.

“Missing a Note,” certified U by Britain’s BBFC, follows schoolgirl and aspiring singer, Molly, as she performs before retired opera legend, John O’Connell, in hope he will write her a good scholarship report. But John’s now diminishing memory means Molly is in for a few puzzling surprises.

The US theatrical release for the short will enable the producers to submit it as a contender at the 2020 Academy Awards.

Director, Beth Moran said: “As a first time director, it’s great to see the film’s progress and to know it will screen in the US is very exciting. It was a huge team effort so I’m very grateful to everyone who supported the film, the cast and to all the crew who worked on it.”

Producer, Tristan Loraine commented: “Everyone at Fact Not Fiction Films is very grateful to Everyman Cinemas in the UK and Landmark’s Nuart Theatre in Los Angeles for giving this important short film the exposure it deserves. Beth has done a truly remarkable job.”

Fact Not Fiction Films has appointed the multi award-winning publicist Catherine Lyn Scott of London Flair PR to be the publicist for the film.
