The Deep Focus Film Festival is coming back to New York for its 2nd edition after the successful launch of its inaugural event in 2019 - shining a light on indie filmmakers and bringing them closer to audiences in an intimate setting.

For its 2020 festival, the DFFF is seeking to build a closer connection between filmmakers and audiences, helping content creators better understand how people are being impacted by their unique stories. The festival is also supporting filmmakers by providing selected entries with in-depth, critical feedback from an industry professional and a peer - setting it apart as a film festival that provides constructive reviews.

Filmmakers can now submit their entries for the official selection on FilmFreeway and benefit from a discount if sending in films by January 1st for the regular deadline. A judging panel will review all entries submitted with prizes being offered to the winning filmmakers in attendance.

Taking place in Brooklyn at Easy Lover, DFFF 2020 is accepting live action shorts, animations, experimental shorts as well as documentaries and feature films. The festival is also accepting entries for its 2020 edition from filmmakers that have developed TV, web pilots or directed music videos. This includes international filmmakers based outside the U.S. who can also enter in their films for consideration.
