'Anchorman 2' has potential

'Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues' has scored a big victory with film critics with Will Ferrell returning as Ron Burgundy, the hilarious news anchor without limits.

Leading up to the release 'Anchorman 2' didn't have as much hype as we would have thought, but with critics beaming positive on this one, we can expect the film to pick up over the weekend. Tuesday screenings raked in $2.3 million in select theaters.

'Anchorman 2' is also among the 289 features qualified to enter the Oscar race

With a sold 77% rating on Rotten Tomatoes, the film has so far gathered 100 reviews. Positive reviews include a glowing like from The Associated Press and a somewhat funny analysis from the Boston Globe.

Will Ferrel's outing in the original 'Anchorman' was a big success. The film grossed $90 million worldwide.
