EXCLUSIVE: Pre-EFM, Butterfly Chasers LLC’s fantasy drama ‘2050’ has inked several foreign distribution deals ahead of its North American day and date release on January 14th. The film’s sales agency Hewes Pictures has announced that the theatrical rights to the multiple award-winning feature satire, starring a strong ensemble cast that includes Dean Cain (Lois and Clark, Supergirl, God’s Not Dead) Stormi Maya (Death Kiss, Netflix’s She’s Gotta Have It, The Last OG), and Stefanie Bloom (The Perfect Murder), was acquired by South African company Mellow Candy LTD, who is releasing the film in theaters in March. All respective rights to the film were also licensed to distributors in Australia, Taiwan, Scandinavia, and New Zealand, for release this year.

Written by Brian Ackley and directed by Princeton Holt, ‘2050’ imagines what the merging of humans and A.I. into relationships will look and feel like.
