Paramount ends Hollywood game collaboration with Deadline.com

Deadline Game

Paramount and Deadline end deal

A Hollywood game app available exclusively through Deadline.com has been discontinued.

According to THR, Paramount have ended their business relationship with Deadline Founder Nikki Finke, a high profile blogger in the entertainment industry.

The app was designed to appeal to people who wanted to get a feeling for the entertainment industry and how Hollywood works. It was based on Deadline.com and announced last July. In it's early days it was an invitation-only app and offered 'Hollywood Mogul Swag Bags' to lucky winners.

Nikki Finke released this statement during her launch campaign:

"I got fed up with games purporting to be about Hollywood but not reflecting the real Hollywood. You know – the nasty Hollywood. So I came up with my own authentic Deadline Hollywood Game which smart people then developed."

Before the game became unavailable on Facebook it had 560 active players. It has subsequently been removed from the apple itunes store and is no longer available. The 'Deadline Hollywood Game' was a venture between Paramount Digital Entertainment, Liquid Entertainment and PMC.
