Justine Sacco responds to Africa AIDS tweet, movie poster goes viral

Justine Sacco issues response

PR Exec Justine Sacco has responded to the international criticism after she made an offensive tweet that singled out Africa and black people in a distasteful comment.

Sacco made a formal statement regarding the offensive tweet today after leaving PR firm IAC:

"….for being insensitive to this crisis -- which does not discriminate by race, gender or sexual orientation, but which terrifies us all uniformly -- and to the millions of people living with the virus, I am ashamed."

- CNN

In spite of the harsh criticism that Sacco has had to deal with, some good has come out of her remarks. A charity bought Justinesacco.com and turned it into a donation link for people looking to contribute to the aids fight.
