Filmmakers to get Sundance Fest screenings nationwide

PARK CITY, USA - The Sundance Institute has announced that films selected for the 2011 Sundance Film Festival USA program will get screenings in 9 US cities.

Filmmakers will be able to showcase their selected films nationwide on the evening of the 27th January 2011. The program aims to bring a the festival experience to film loving audiences around the country. Film directors will be flown to the chosen cities for screenings and will introduce themselves to audiences including a Q and A session for each participating feature.

Festival program director John Cooper: "We are thrilled to return to the eight cities visited in 2010 and to add Seattle, home to a very robust film community. And what better way to celebrate the realization that film connects and unites us all than with Life in a Day? Some of the most special moments of last year's Festival took place on that second Thursday all across the country, and we anticipate the same this year."
