LOS ANGELES, USA - Hans Zimmer is set to get his star on the Hollywood Walk Of Fame this coming Wednesday.
The highly respected German film composer has scored soundtracks for some of the biggest blockbusters including Ridley Scott s Gladiator starring Russell Crowe. Zimmer, who is one of Hollywood s top composers will become the 2426th recipient of the pretigious award.
Attending the event will be Batman director Christopher Nolan, currently in pre-production on The Dark Knight Rises , who has collaborated several times with the film composer on Inception and the previous Batman movies.
Ridley Scott has worked with Zimmer on many occasions including his 1986 hit Thelma & Louise that became a cult classic.
Hans Zimmer also scored films such as The Weather Man starring Nicolas Cage and animation hit Kung Fu Panda lead by comedian Jack Black. In all, he has written music for more than 100 feature films and also won an Oscar in 1995 for The Lion King , a record-breaking soundtrack seller.
