LOS ANGELES, USA - Bruce Willis started a frenzy of speculation earlier in the year when he said Die Hard 5 would soon be going into production, with fans making bad guy wish lists, stunts they wanted to see, and new story possibilities, but it seems now there has been a set back.

According to 20th Century Fox, the script for the next Die hard installment is not even in place, and that should there be a sequel to Die Hard 4, it was 'way off' - Indiewire.com

With summer blockbuster Expendables providing some much needed 80s style action thrills, Willis is set to take part in a bigger role in the next outing as Sly Stallone prepares to cast his dream team for 'Expendables 2', starring Hollywood's toughest action heros.

Lions Gate Studios earned a solid box office return with Stallone's 'The Expendables' featuring cameos from Bruce Willis and Arnold Schwarzenegger and a sequel was announced just days after it was released in cinemas.

Although John McClane  won't be headed to our screens quite yet, it is unlikely that the Die Hard sequel has been scrapped, but most likely, it has gone back to the drawing board.
