After the successful launch of the Reading Rainbow campaign by LeVar Burton, Star Trek actors joined forces to help boost the initiative to new heights.

William Shatner, Patrick Stewart, Brent Spiner, Michael Dorn, Jonathan Frakes and Kate Mulgrew were among the all-star cast helping Burton take this to the next level.

Tickets for meet and greets with the cast of Star Trek : The Next Generation were hugely popular, with some giveaways including a live storytime event and a meeting with Patrick Stewart.

With just 6 days to go before the Reading Rainbow campaign comes to an end, Star Trek fans can still get to meet the cast of Star Trek : Voyager and TNG.

As of today, the Kickstarter campaign has raised over $4 million, 4 times the initial target and Burton has also taken some time out to mock himself over on Funny or Die with this video below. Will he be able to raise the last $1 million in less than a week?
