Video : Filmmakers capture Sandy in New York

New York based filmmakers Shahir Daud and Shivali Gulab have just sent me this video on the street that they are walking (East End Avenue at 83rd). The wind is blustering and there appears to be flooding all along the street.

The storm has set in and residents on the ground are taking shelter as the gusts kick up debris and water levels start to rise.

CNN reported in the past few hours that power outages had affected nearly 3 million people. 5 people have so far behind confirmed killed. Daud, a filmmaker orginally from New Zealand is documenting the storm as it happens. It's a very dangerous situation and I am greatful to have this video to share with you. Are you in the New York area? How are you guys holding up?
