UCLA hit with Lawsuit

Animal rights group S.A.E.N is suing the University of Southern California for withholding animal testing records, accusing it of forcefully injecting primates with drugs, and killing them after experiments had been completed.

The lawsuit claims that the university has "A history of violating Federal Law'. An in-depth report released by NBC highlighted the release after it was made public by the organization on Thursday.

S.A.E.N Executive Director Michael Budkie stated that

"UCLA is a public institution using public money, therefore the people of California have a right to know what happens inside its labs."

The lawsuit has been filed against both the UCLA and the UC Regents by Stop Animal Exploitation Now. The original release can be found here.

Some of UCLA's most famous alumni include Hollywood actor Ben Stiller, James Dean, Jack Black, Gabrielle Union, director Francis Ford Coppola and Brooke Burke.

UCLA have made no public comment so far regarding the lawsuit.
