The TFI will award $500,000 to support filmmakers through 2011, whilst the TFI Documentary Fund, presented by HBO will offer $100,000 in grants.
$100,000 of finishing funds will be available to documentary filmmakers exploring human and social subjects through the Gucci Tribeca Documentary Fund.
The TFI Sloan Filmmaker Fund will award filmmakers with compelling narratives exploring technological, scientific and mathematical themes with up to $140,000 in grants to support production.
Filmmakers will also be given the opportunity to participate in the Tribeca All Access program which will provide participants in 2011 $10,000 each.
Film and video artists living in Central, South America and Mexico will also receive support from the TFI Latin America Media Arts Fund.
