Sacha Baron Cohen to shoot Saddam Hussein movie with Paramount

LOS ANGELES, USA Funnyman Sacha Baron Cohen will star in a comedy interpretation of a book written by Saddam Hussein.

The former Iraqi dictator, who was ousted from power in the 2003 Iraq invasion became the centre of countless online parodies, spoofs and remixes. The dictator took on another alter ego interpreted by the west.

Paramount Pictures is set to produce the movie which will tentatively be release in May 2012.

The Saddam Hussein Novel adaptation will be directed by Larry Charles entitled The Dictator .

Paramount pictures stated that the movie would show the heroic story of a dictator who risked his life to ensure that democracy would never come to the country he so lovingly oppressed". - BBC
