On both a national and international level, the Production Guild of Great Britain based at Pinewood Studios is a top film and television organization. It represents professionals and creates network connections between broadcasters, production companies and members.
In 1999, the Production Guild of Great Britain was created as a result of a merger between two companies: The Guild of Film Production Accountants and Financial Administrators (GFPA) and the Guild of Film Production Executives (GFPE).
Aims:
Applications will be sent to The Membership Committee and will take approximately 6 weeks to be processed.
There are a range of social and education events that are held throughout the year including: film nights at Pinewood Studios, networking drinking in Soho and a Christmas party amongst others. There are also charity events, which are not private and therefore open to the public, for example, summer parties, dinner dances and pub quizzes.
“I find my membership of the Guild invaluable - always a good point of contact to find out about industry legislation. Recently, I was budgeting for projects in Canada and India, and the Guild were able to put me in touch with production contacts there… I also think that the employment register is fast becoming the first point of contact for many producers”.
