Polish film gets Longest Applause Award, enters Oscars

polish film 'Wszystko co kocham' All that I love has been selected as Poland's Oscar entry for Best Foreign Film.

Agnieszka Holland, a well-respected Polish director and chairman of the Polish film Academy along with critics and Oscar winning filmmakers from the local industry, made the selection. Jacek Borcuch's film has been particularly praised for its strong direction and superb performances from its young cast.

All that I Love is set in 1981 during the solidarity revolution in Poland, depicting the story of four teenagers who form a punk band to rebel against the cruel socialist reality that suffocates their lives as they long for freedom and expression.

The poignant film recently won the Best Screenplay Award at the International Film Festival in Brussels and took the Longest Applause Award at the Polish Film Festival in Gdynia
