Max Clifford arrested by MET police officers in sex scandal inquiry

Max-clifford-arrested-6th-decemberUK Publicist Max Clifford has been arrested by the Metropolitan Police investigating the sex abuses of Jimmy Savile.

Clifford, who has been at the centre of the UK's celebrity culture for several decades is a high profile figure behind the scenes, and today's arrest has been undertaken as part of 'Operation Yewtree'.

The Jimmy Savile abuse scandal has rocked the BBC and more allegations have recently surfaced that have caused further damage to the Broadcaster including the arrest of BBC Broadcaster Stuart Hall.

Max Clifford is scheduled to appear at a charity dinner on the 10th December in Surrey. It is unclear at this point whether Clifford's arrest in the ongoing Jimmy Savile investigation will alter his commitment.
