Golden Globes 2014

Matt Damon and Michael Douglas go head-to-head at this year's Golden Globes Awards, as they compete for 'Best Actor in a Mini-Series.'

The highly acclaimed 'Behind the Candelabra', was considered one of the best films of 2013, and both actors gained nominations, placing them in direct competition tonight.

The American drama produced by HBO, and directed by Steven Soderbergh, is based on the memoir of Scott Thorson. Set in the late 70s, the film tells the story of the life of rock-star pianist Liberace, who develops a relationship with a young stranger : Scott Thorson.

Both actors received glowing reviews for their on-screen duo which make's this year's selection especially difficult as one of the two can only win. However they face Chiwetel Ejiofor (Dancing on the Edge), Idris Elba (Luther) and Al Pacino (Phil Spector).
