Madonna to become a billionaire in Vegas?

LAS VEGAS, USA - Madonna is reportedly in talks to enter a five-year contract to perform in the city.

The $1 billion deal would make her the world s third female billionaire, next to Oprah Winfrey and Harry Potter author JK Rowling. If the deal goes ahead, it would see her follow in the footsteps of other high profile acts including the likes of Celine Dion and Elton John.

Madonna, however, is committed to a ten-year touring contract with Live nation which will expire in 2017, worth an estimated £80 million. The queen of pop's reps have so far remained silent and it is unlikely that a Vegas residency deal would be worth this much.
