How the entertainment world can make a difference

Looking at the past week of events, our industry has come together to help the victims of the Haiti earthquake.

Its times like these that we can really join forces and raise funds for people in need. I was shocked when I heard the news about the disaster and immediately sent in a donation.

I would like to encourage you the members to give a little if you can, because it will really make a difference. Some of the industry s most influential people are joining forces, notably Wyclef Jean and George Clooney with MTV s telethon broadcast on the 22nd January.

I was also very impressed with donations across the board from companies, individuals and communities.

As we strive to make the world a better place, so can the entertainment industry by educating people on their common humanity.
