Grammy Awards a huge success as TV ratings rise in 2011

The Grammy Awards are yet another indication that TV ratings in the US have increased hugely over the past year.

With Award shows such as the Golden Globes and sporting events like the Super Bowl getting a ratings boost, 2011 has been an incredible year for TV networks.

The good news doesn t stop there. This year s Oscars could be the biggest we have seen in a decade, with ads sold out for the live broadcast.

A mixture of music and film stars made up the Grammy Awards showdown, with performances from Eminem, Dr Dre, Lady Gaga, Justin Bieber, Jaden Smith and more.

In an interesting twist, the Awards this year highlighted indie artists, which beat popular choices.

The awards show itself received mixed reviews from spectators and US blogs, but overall there is a significant shift making this years Grammys the biggest in 11 years. Let s see what happens at the Oscars
