Funding for films in France

Film Funding

Finding soft money is a great way to get your short film or even first feature off the ground. Below are some funding bodies in France that give development money, production, and post-production benefits. Please note you have to partner with a French production company when looking at getting the full benefits of French government money.

In order to successfully get financing from the government, you need to fill out applications including director notes, budget sheets, your film synopsis, script and other materials. There is also a tax rebate available for foreign productions of up to 20%.
