Final Oscar deadline for Short films and foreign language movies

If you want to get your Short film in to the Oscars you better hurry as the deadline approaches (October 3rd). The 2012 Oscars will welcome independent filmmakers to compete in the selection in several categories including Live Action Short Film, Animated Short Film and Foreign Language Film.

Every year the Oscars features some of the best movies to be made the previous year, but the contest is always fiercly contended. However, filmmakers should note in their calendars that this week they should send in their entries.

The 84th Academy Awards will announce the official nominations on 24th January 2012. The awards ceremony will be broadcast live on February 26th 2012.
