Colin Firth to win SAG, Golden Globes & Academy Awards?

LOS ANGELES -  The SAG Awards have nominated Colin Firth for Best Actor in his potrayal of George VI in The King s Speech.

The British actor has had a rollercoaster of a week with The King s Speech earning 7 Golden Globe nominations ahead of the Academy Award announcements at the end of January.

Can Colin Firth win at the SAG Awards, the Golden Globes and the Oscars? We will have to wait for whether Firth gets an Oscar Nod.

Christian Bale and Helena Bonham Carter are also nominated in the supporting role categories at the Screen Actors Guild Awards.

The King's Speech

Colin Firth plays King George VI, a man with an uncontrollable stammer that faces ascension to the throne with the help of a speech therapist.

Winning Best Actor at the BIFA Awards, and the Washington DC Film critics Association Award, Colin Firth is also nominated for a Critics Choice Award.
