Charlie Sheen beats Kanye West on twitter with 3 million fans

Are you Bi-winning? Charlie Sheen has become the first star on twitter to reach 3 million fans in less than a month, beating the likes of Kanye West, Snoop Dogg and Arnold Schwarzenegger.

Kanye's infamous Taylor Swift diss in 2009 made him front page news for weeks on end but Charlie Sheen's '7 gram rocks' ABC interview fuelled his rise even further.

Controversy it seems does play an important role in boosting one's own fame, and even though there were countless Kanye West remixes of his insults, Charlie Sheen comes out top in 2011.

With 3 million twitter fans, Sheen commands a vast 'army' of warlocks, and his sold out tour just keeps getting bigger. Can the Charlie Sheen phenomenon really prove that controversy means more money? We think so. The more one-liners and outrageous videos the better, until they go too far.
