Cate Blanchett is nominated for 'Best Actress' at this year's Gotham Independent Film Awards in New York and will attend tonight's ceremony according to the organisers.
Blanchett will walk the red carpet this evening along with some of the world's best known independent filmmakers. She is nominated this year for 'Best Actress' in Blue Jasmine, directed by Woody Allen, which also stars Alec Baldwin and Peter Sarsgaard. Other actresses in the same nomination category include Amy Seimetz, Scarlett Johansson, Brie Larson and Shailene Woodley,
Other guests scheduled to attend include actor Steve Buscemi and Mayor of New York, Michael Bloomberg.
The Gotham Film Awards will be broadcast live from Midnight GMT (7pm New York local time). You can watch the full live red carpet show and follow the updates from the event as it happens. There is no fee or watershed on the broadcast and filmmakers across the UK will be able to check in.
