Cast of “Trollhunters” encourages people to do good on Stop Cyberbullying Day

The cast of upcoming DreamWorks Animation production “Trollhunters: Rise of the Titans” shared a message on Twitter today to warn about the dangers of cyberbullying.

Coinciding with Stop Cyberbullying Day, Netflix and DreamWorks revealed a new behind-the-scenes video from several cast members who took a moment to reflect on cyberbullying, and what to do if you’ve been a victim.

The video features voice actors Charlie Saxton, Lexi Medrano, Nick Offerman, Colin O’Donoghue and Tatiana Maslany, who play our favorite animated heroes in the Trolhunters series.

“Cyberbullying can have a deep and damaging impact, and it affects all of us,” said Charlie Saxton.

While the Trollhunters battle it out onscreen to fight the Arcane Order this July, the cast wanted to share an important message to their younger viewers on Stop Cyberbullying Day.

“You can be a hero by standing up to it. If you see something, say something,” added Medrano.

Trollhunters on Stop Cyberbullying Day

With Stop Cyberbullying Day bringing together people from around the world to stand up to online abuse, the entertainment industry has been supporting the global event through various initiatives.

Celebrities and influencers including Jake Zyrus (previously known as Charice Pempengco) shared a heartfelt message to his supporters while Latin American singer Samantha Sanchez encouraged fans to be confident and stay strong in the face of bullying. The singer was announced today as an Ambassador for Cybersmile.

Carton Network also revealed a host of cyberbullying resources this Stop Cyberbullying Day for parents to help their children deal with cyberbullying incidents, encouraging their community online to take action.

Cartoon Network reveals resources

The Cybersmile Foundation, which coordinates Stop Cyberbullying Day every year, also revealed a partnership with CO. By Colgate to help raise awareness of cyberbullying online. The company revealed it would be pledging a minimum donation of $200,000 to the nonprofit to support their services.

As more and more internet users become affected by cyberbullying and the potentially longterm impact it can have on people of all ages, there’s a growing urgency for companies across the entertainment industry to do more to protect their viewers, as well as cast and crew members.
