For Cannes, the glamour of the red carpet always draws the crowds, but it’s the stars that bring the extra buzz and magic to the festival. Who will be walking up and down the Croisette this year? The movies in the selection tell one story, but there are always stars that make appearances unannounced.
Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are some of the Hollywood celebs that have chosen to live in the south of France, in their Chateau Miraval. Johnny Depp, John Malkovich and Bono are some of the other big names with homes in France, but none get more attention than Brad and Angie. Also, back in 2008, Angelia Jolie gave birth to twins in Nice at the Lenval Hospital which gave a boost to local tourism, and pride to the local Mayor, who was understandably thrilled. The twins were considered to be ‘The most famous babies in the world’ at the time.
