'X-Men: Days of Future Past' is just around the corner, but unfortunately Anna Paquin fans will not see their favorite actress in the movie at all.
Producers of the film told Entertainment Weekly that the scene in which Anna Paquin starred in had become "extraneous" in the movie, and needed to be cut entirely from the film. Director Bryan Singer praised the actress and her work despite the unfortunate deletion.
IMDB has removed Paquin's listing from the movie's listing however a credit remains for her stunt double. It is not clear whether that suggests there is a remaining scene where we see just a silhouette or whether the stunt double has done additional work that doesn't relate to Paquin's presence in the film.
Despite the scene cut for Anna Paquin, fans will be able to see her performance in the DVD release of the film according to the director although he didn't specify whether it would be in a director's cut or as an additional scene in a bonus feature or making of featurette.
The new X-Men movie comes out in May 2014 along with a formidable cast which includes actors Patrick Stewart, Ian McKellen, Halle Berry, Hugh Jackman, James McAvoy and Jennifer Lawrence.
