Google has approached CAA and WMA talent agencies to sign actors like George Clooney, Brad Pitt, Gwyneth Paltrow and Johnny Depp to channels.

Youtube is expanding its influence of TV audiences with an increased range of content from comedy to blogs, but now they want the big names.

In May, it will be 6 years since the website was born, and after billions of views, it is fast becoming the global platform for video content.

Instead of doing ads on TV, stars like Johnny Depp might be commissioned to do web episodes, and advertisements specifically for youtube dedicated channels.

Stars will be paid cash, and share ad revenues on pre-roll ads and other banner advertisements which could be very lucrative.

TV advertising in general is in decline, and the shift is going online. Is this the internet golden age for Hollywood money making?
