What do you want to get out of the next ten years?

A LOT can happen in 10 years..   that's for sure.   In the last 10 years, I wrote music for some cool video games and films, got a master's degree in psychology, met my wife, got married, landed a gig writing the music for the television show CSI:NY, left the company I had been working with for 8 years to become a freelance composer, and became a father!   Some of these things were wonderful surprises (like CSI:NY), and some were things I had thought about and set intentions for, like getting married and having kids..

Though I didn't know when they would happen exactly, the intentions I set 10 years ago became my reality now. And I realize now that those intentions I had set for myself came true to the extent that I had clarity on exactly what I wanted, and how I wanted it to show up.. (more on that later..)   Now that I'm 40, I'm looking at the next 10 years with interest.. I was writing a friend to say Happy New Year, and I asked him this question:

What do you want to get out of the next ten years?

I'm interested to hear what he will say, if there is some dream or plan that he hasn't shared - maybe he hasn't thought of it yet himself.   And it made me think, what do I want to get out of the next ten years of my life?   I'll share that below soon..

Then, it made me think about the Film Industry Network community..   What do you want to get out of the next 10 years?   In your career? In your life in general? I'm curious what moves you, what your dreams are, what do you believe is possible in those 10 years, and what steps are you taking to get there?

Like you, I love films, and I enjoy the process of creating films.. as crazy as it can be.. So I'd enjoy hearing what you have to say.   And thanks in advance for sharing..
