Vin Diesel to replace Arnold Schwarzenegger?

The battle of the action heroes continues on our screens, as actors like Bruce Willis, Arnold Schwarzenegger and Vin Diesel evolve in their careers.

Arnold Schwarzenegger and Sylvester Stallone have been 'arch rivals' in many ways as both action heroes made so many outings in high octane action blockbusters. But what about today's generation of action heroes? The Bruce Willis' and Arnies' of the 80s and 90s can't be at their height today, and it looks like there are some big names who could become household for years to come.

Vin Diesel fits this criteria for many reasons. He's likeable, he has the big physique that puts him in the Schwarzenegger and Stallone class, and commands a big following of fans. Does he have what it takes to create that cult following that Schwarzenegger still enjoys today. That mixture of accent, iconic movie dialogues and big screen action is hard to beat in the modern movie making world of CGI and green screen effects.

Another actor to look at for his big action persona is Dwayne Johnson, who recently starred alongside Vin Diesel in the successful 'Fast Five'.

What do you think about the next generation of action heroes? Does Vin Diesel have what Arnie had in the 80s to take action to new heights?
