“Rambo 5: Last Blood” will be Stallone’s final outing in what has been a sensational 37-year journey since he launched a one-man war in “Rambo: First Blood” back in 1982. After 3 sequels, the final Rambo movie is set for release this September and is currently in post-production.

Meanwhile, Stallone has been teasing fans with his on-set antics, and has shared a number of revealing posts and insights on his Instagram account, including how he was the 11th actor on the list to play the role of Rambo.

“Its been an amazing journey. It really has. This character was presented to me in 1980 and no one wanted to do it. As a matter of fact I was the 11th choice, people looked at this as sort of almost a cursed project. I looked at it and said this was amazing opportunity.” - Sylvester Stallone

“Rambo V: Last Blood” will take us on a journey to Mexico where Rambo will have to save a friend’s daughter who has been kidnapped by a drug cartel. The film will introduce a new character, a reporter who is covering the drug trade (played by Paz Vega) and aids Rambo in his quest to save a young girl’s life.

Produced by Lionsgate, Millennium Films and Campbell Grobman Films, Rambo 5 will be released on September 20, 2019 nationwide.
