Sony Pictures has issued a letter to members of the Directors Guild of Canada warning them that their personally identifiable information may have been compromised.

The notice affects people who have worked on previous Sony Productions dating back as far as the early 90s to the present day. Attached to the notice is a PDF with some of the affected productions.

After hackers managed to steal terabytes of private data from Sony's servers the fallout is now reaching other countries as international film crews are asked to double check their personal records.

Sony Pictures is providing 12 months of free identity protection coverage to affected production staff.

Notice from Sony Pictures Entertainment to DGC Members

Sony Pictures Entertainment (“SPE”) experienced a significant systems disruption on Monday, November 24, 2014. SPE has determined that the cause of the disruption was a brazen cyber-attack.
