“Ocean’s 8” delivered big numbers this week pushing it to the top of the box office with an impressive $41.5 million opening.

Directed by Gary Ross with an all-star female ensemble cast including Sandra Bullock, Anne Hathaway, Rihanna and Helena Bonham Carter, “Ocean’s 8” is a spinoff of the original Ocean’s trilogy from Steven Soderbergh.

In “Ocean’s 8,” a group of women led by the estranged sister of Danny Ocean (originally played by George Clooney), plan on a big heist at the Met Gala in New York. After more than 5 years in prison, Debbie Ocean (played by Sandra Bullock) sets out to recruit a group of pros to steal the Toussaint, a $150 million necklace.

The stakes are high and the film doesn’t disappoint with audiences as well as critics giving it positive reviews.
