Adore you music video review

Singer Miley Cyrus' new music video 'Adore You' has been released, with fans being introduced to another side of her 'playfulness'.

Throughout 2013, Miley Cyrus has been a hot topic discussion due to her raunchy and provocative performances at the VMAs, and then, in her hit music videos. Both 'We Can't Stop' and 'Wrecking Ball' have topped video charts for months, but how will 'Adore you' differ?

You could say this video has a much sweeter, more calm approach than previous outings. Miley under the bed covers, and in a bathtub sings about her mystery lover, in a slow-motion dream-like montage that features mainly close ups and hand-held camera work. The shots are lightly diffused, with cuts between two screen ratios. A 4:3 screen format shows some of the more closer shots with Miley, color corrected in a blue-like night time glow.

There are no camera movements or closer zooms that show us any controversial images. It's clean, there's no nudity, and it does have a more elegant style. Some of the extreme close ups on her lips, eyes and face are nicely framed, and extenuate her beauty.

Overall, the video is no way near as aggressive or 'shocking' as her previous outings, but it shows another side to Miley that's far more subtle. Is this Miley's sweet and romantic side coming out?
