Leonardo DiCaprio gets “raped” by a bear in ‘The Revenant’

An early screening of “The Revenant” starring Leonardo DiCaprio allegedly shows his character getting raped by a wild bear.

Directed by Alejandro Inarritu, "The Revenant" according to The Drudge report, features a scene where DiCaprio’s character Hugh Glass gets mauled and raped twice by a wild bear. Following that, he cuts open a horse and sleeps in its carcass naked.

Set in the 1820s, "The Revenant" tells the story of a group of explorers who go on an expedition into the uncharted American Wilderness. Leonardo DiCaprio plays Hugh Glass, a fur trapper who gets attacked by a wild bear and then must survive the brutal winter after he is left for dead.

Development on the film goes back to 2001 and will be distributed by 20th Century Fox for a Christmas Day release (limited). The question remains whether audiences celebrating Christmas will be enticed by this kind of story. The film also stars Tom Hardy, Domhnall Gleeson and Will Poulter.

Update

Fox has denied that a bear rape scene exists in the movie.
