It's just been announced that the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are expecting their first baby.

According to the Daily Mail, the Duchess was taken to King Edward VII hospital with acute morning sickness today, and will be staying several days under supervision.

The news, which has come just ahead of the Christmas Holiday season has brought tremendous joy to the Royal family after a rocky year of embarassing headlines from Prince Harry's revealing trip in Vegas to Kate Middleton's 'unauthorized exposure' on her sunny holiday in France. Snapshots of the Duchess of Cornwall nude were leaked on the web. The Prince and the Duchess then pursued legal proceedings against Closer Magazine in France.

It is believed that the pregnancy is less than a few weeks, but the new arrival next year will shake up the Royal family like never before. The Duke and Duchess will welcome the third in line to the throne. Their baby will be officially the great grandchild to the Queen.
