An employee who leaked a security video showing Solange Knowles and Jay Z 'fighting' in an elevator has been fired.

The video, which shows Solange Knowles in a fit of rage against Jay Z became an internet hit after Gossip site TMZ shared it to readers. Video footage from the security cameras at the Standard Hotel was uploaded to the web showing the tussle after the Knowles and Jay Z had been attending the Met Gala. A security guard then intervenes to restrain Knowles from kicking Jay Z.

According to the BBC, the hotel had discovered who had made the leak and has now fired the employee responsible.

However there is now an investigation into the incident, which has embarrassed one of the biggest names in entertainment.
