In the wake of the latest threat against movie theaters from Sony hackers, an official from the Department of Homeland Security has issued a statement.

Earlier on Tuesday, 32000 Sony emails were released along with increasingly alarming threats from the hackers, possibly tied to North Korea.

With a public threat of violence against audiences going to movie theatres watching 'The Interview', the DHS stepped in to comment about the apparent threat.

"….at this time there is no credible intelligence to indicate an active plot against movie theaters within the United States.”
