After Michelle Obama took the web by storm with #BringBackOurGirls, now the #Realmendontbuygirls campaign has become something of an internet hit.

An old campaign set up in 2011, and backed by Jamie Foxx, Ashton Kutcher, Sean Penn and other celebrities has become the next social sensation following the international outcry over the 200 schoolgirls abducted in Nigeria.

With the success of the Oscar Selfie, Michelle Obama's hashtag tweet and now this, we can expect to see some follow ups from other celebrities in the coming hour on Twitter. Of course, the trend is also open to some mockery, as you can see in the image below.

Earlier in the year a controversial tweet from American Airlines with a pornographic picture made headlines, and has shown how viral images can set discussion trends on social media.

Will this latest movement make a difference? It has been reported that the UK, France and the US have sent special forces to Nigeria to help in the search of the abducted girls.
