Hollywood actor George Clooney has got engaged to Amal Alamuddin according to People Magazine.

Clooney, who is currently in a relationship with the British lawyer is trying to keep the relationship "Low key" while speculation mounts on whether this latest report is merely a rumor or a legitimate development.

Often in the media spotlight for his romantic 'affairs' Clooney has been one of the few Hollywood bachelors that has yet to commit to a marriage. At 52, Clooney has an international career that spans movies, commercial work and also humanitarian commitments.

After the release of 'Monuments Men' Clooney is now working with Brad Bird on a sci-fi thriller 'Tomorrowland' with 'House' star Hugh Laurie. Tim McGraw, Britt Robertson and Kathryn Hahn also co-star.

Whether the actor will still be 'engaged' when it comes out is very uncertain. This is not the first time we've heard this kind of news and then later discovered that he had no intention of settling down.
