Fast and Furious 7 dominates UK box office By Iain Alexander / 8 April 2015 Vin Diesel's latest outing in 'Fast & Furious 7' has topped the UK box office taking in a stunning £12.7m in 3 days. Following the tragic death of Paul Walker, the film's production had been delayed while scenes were re-shot and actors mourned the loss of their co-star. The circumstances around Walker's death led to an international outpouring and boosted the film's prominence ahead of its release. In its opening weekend, the film made $147m in the US, while grossing more than $392m around the world. Leading up to the release Universal ensured 'Furious 7' paid homage to Paul Walker, and that his character would still be a big part of the story despite the workaround. Fans were quick to praise the film, giving it an average of 9/10 while reviewers on Rotten Tomatoes have also given the film high marks, averaging over 8/10. Directed by James Wan, the film also stars Jason Statham, Michelle Rodriguez, Tyrese Gibson, rapper Ludacris, action star Kurt Russell and Dwayne Jonson.
