Disney announces Toy Story 4 is a go

The much loved Toy Story franchise is set to continue with today's announcement that Disney has green-lighted the 4th movie.

After receiving international praise, 'Toy Story 3' became a sensation around the world with even the likes of Quentin Tarantino giving it a renowned thumbs up.

John Lasseter, head of Pixar, who made the original and 'Toy Story 2' is set to return in the director's chair for the 4th movie.

Released in 1995 'Toy Story' captured the hearts of children and adults with characters like Buzz Lightyear and Woody (voiced by Tom Hanks) who have become household names. Their crazy toy adventures have continued to entertain millions and news of 'Toy Story 4' being written by the original team will go down very well.

To date, the Toy Story franchise has nearly grossed $2 billion worldwide, and the new sequel is slated to come out sometime in 2017.
