Deport Piers Morgan petition doubles to 60,000 signatures

A Whitehouse petition calling for the deportation of CNN host Piers Morgan has received double the amount of signatures in just 24 hours. With over 61,000 voices now demanding his immediate deportation, can the Whitehouse ignore this grand request?

Piers Morgan has launched a non-stop media assault on the NRA and gun laws since the horrific Newtown Massacre. He's being criticized by gun advocates, and supporters of the 2nd Amendment who believe his comments are an attack on the U.S Constitution.

In retrospect, Piers Morgan's own comments are protected under the 1st Amendment, allowing his freedom of expressive opinion.

The Anti-Morgan petition demands the following:

"British Citizen and CNN television host Piers Morgan is engaged in a hostile attack against the U.S. Constitution by targeting the Second Amendment. We demand that Mr. Morgan be deported immediately for his effort to undermine the Bill of Rights and for exploiting his position as a national network television host to stage attacks against the rights of American citizens."

In response to the petition, Piers Morgan has suggested that he host his CNN show from Jamaica. On Christmas Eve he posted this latest statement on the Petition:

Are you for or against Piers Morgan's deportation?
