Can Vin Diesel carry the Fast & Furious franchise without Paul Walker?

Vin Diesel and the franchise

Production has come to an indefinite halt on 'Fast & Furious 7' while the cast and crew for the film mourn the death of their close friend Paul Walker but with all that's happened, can we expect this to continue?

Vin Diesel yesterday revealed how he had visited Walker's parents in the aftermath of his tragic death, and broke down. With the enormous weight of Paul's death overshadowing Vin Diesel's career in the Fast & Furious franchise, should we expect him to carry on with the franchise if the 7th instalment is finished successfully without Walker?

The Fast & Furious movies have grossed over $2 billion worldwide with an audience of millions and a strong fan base that has evolved and grown over the years. Vin Diesel and Paul Walker have been very much part of that journey, but without Walker in future movies, Diesel is left to carry the direction, albeit the spirit of the franchise as a lead actor.

With all that's happened, should audiences, fans, and close friends expect him to continue this great franchise in the future without his "other half"?

It won't be easy for Diesel to make that decision. It's not going to be easy for producers to work out a way to remove Walker's presence from the future movies. What do you think? Can he do it? Should he?
