Bradley Cooper: “I got to fulfil a dream” By FIN Staff / 10 February 2019 Actor Bradley Cooper has taken the limelight at this year’s BAFTA ceremony after winning the Original Music Award, along with Lady Gaga and Lukas Nelson. ‘A Star Is Born’ received critical acclaim around the world and is one of last year’s highest grossing films, topping $39 million at the UK box office and earning $418 million worldwide. Directed by Bradley Cooper and starring Sam Elliott, Lady Gaga, Alec Baldwin and comedian Dave Chapelle, ‘A Star Is Born’ tells the story of a musician who falls in love with a struggling artist and helps her find fame while he battles his own demons and heads into a downward spiral. The picture has also been nominated for 8 Oscars including Best Motion Picture of the Year. Cooper and Gaga are also both nominated in the Best Performance categories for leading actors. Picking up the award tonight, Cooper said that “I got to fulfil a dream that I never thought would ever happen”. The actor received a grand applause while his co-star, Lady Gaga sent a tweet as she watched from the U.S. ahead of the Grammys, apologising for not being there in person.
